With more than 30 years’ experience of working within regulated environments, we are experts in delivering these repairs rapidly, including within limited possession windows. For planned works, we carry out comprehensive pre-construction planning, to ensure that repairs can be enacted quickly and efficiently, and working areas handed back on time. For reactive works, we hold stock of core repair materials, including a number of fast-curing products. We are able to rapidly mobilise skilled, airside-experienced personnel nationwide, with minimal notice. This enables us to rectify emergency defects within the shortest possible timescales.

We have multiple decades of experience in using the repair materials identified above, and continually identify innovative, low-carbon materials through our long-standing partnerships with manufacturers such as Walker Sealants, Meon, and Instarmac. We share this knowledge with our clients; carrying out joint inspections to understand their requirements, and providing solutions tailored to their budgets and requirements.
PAVEMENT REPAIRS
Emergency Runway Repairs – Manchester Airport
In October 2025, Allied Infrastructure received an emergency request from MAG, after a defective area had been identified on the runway, by the client’s Operations team.
Our team were notified of a defect at 12.30PM. Working closely with Capital Delivery and Airfield Operations teams, as well as our long-term surfacing sub-contractor Dinsdale Contracts Ltd., we had resources and "permits to work" in place by 13.30PM. Our operational team were on site and ready to go airside by 16.00PM.
We obtained access to the runway at 18.00PM and had completed the required repairs (a 50mm deep plane out and re-surface) by 19.30PM, enabling hand-back to Operations.
Emergency requests of this type are a key element of our Lot 5 “Planned Renewals and Reactive Maintenance” contract with MAG. Through our skilled, airside-approved workforce and supply chain, and our strong relationships with MAN stakeholders, we are able to rapidly mobilise and deliver. This helps to ensure the safe and effective operation of our client’s asset, all year round.
