Wheel Timber Replacement – 2021
In 2021, Allied infrastructure was awarded this specialist package of works, due to our expertise in delivering short-duration, high-intensity works. The works required the installation of a Network Rail approved, specialised PMB (Polymer Modified Bitumen material joints either side of newly installed Longitudinal Rail timbers, situated within a steel trough at Rail Bridge in the London borough of Tottenham on both the “up” and “down” tracks. The Wheel Timbers are being replaced because they had rotten, with many of these timbers having been installed over 25 years ago.

Allied Infrastructure delivered these works using our multi-skilled Operatives. We meticulously planned and managed the delivery, to ensure the works could be completed promptly, efficiently and safely, within the limited possession windows. We received excellent feedback from a number of stakeholders, who praised our effective management of this specialist package of works.
