OUR EXPERTISE

We have the capability to deliver a wide variety of civil engineering projects in airside, landside and civil environments. Our experience includes (but is not limited to):

  • Re-construction of Pavement Quality Concrete (PQC) bays

  • Construction of concrete fillets

  • Construction of landside holding areas

  • Construction of new barrier and plaza systems

  • Remediation of landside car parks

  • Highways works, such as alterations to carriageways and footways, and rapid repairs to concrete roads under road closures

  • Re-instatement of manhole chambers, using IronGuard and other leading materials

  • Cross Carriageway Duct (CCD)  installation – end-to-end delivery from the initial saw cutting of the pavement, through excavation, duct installation and backfill, within limited possession windows

Our expertise in delivering within regulated, time-sensitive is highly beneficial to our clients. At Manchester Airport and East Midlands Airport, we regularly carry out the re-construction of PQC bays within critical areas, ensuring that aircraft movements can be maintained.

In addition to our airside experience, we have also delivered a wide variety of landside civil engineering projects. Many of these projects have required extensive stakeholder liaison, as well as Traffic Management (TM) and pedestrian management. We work with clients and stakeholders to deliver these works safely, and with the lowest possible level of disruption.

"Allied Infrastructure has been an exceptional partner throughout their recent appointment as Planned Renewals & Reactive Support contractor at Manchester Airport. Their project management and delivery capability stood out from day one with clear communication, proactive planning, and a consistent focus on safety and operational continuity in a highly complex, airside environment.

The November Alpha taxiway rehabilitation scheme presented unique challenges due to the complex location, tight timescales, and interface with our new pier 2, but Allied’s team demonstrated professionalism, flexibility, and a collaborative spirit that made the entire process smooth and efficient. They coordinated seamlessly with our key stakeholders, adapted quickly to changing site conditions, and delivered high-quality work ahead of programme and to an excellent standard. They also provided exceptional insight into innovative, versatile materials that we were able to utilise to enable programme constraints were satisfied.

Their commitment to collaboration and problem-solving has been invaluable over the last few years at Manchester Airport, and the outcome November Alpha and numerous other schemes reflects the quality and care they put into every phase of the project. We’re grateful for their contribution and would highly recommend Allied Infrastructure for any airport or civil engineering works where reliability, expertise, and partnership truly matter."
